Of Czech descent, Dr Lorentz Baumer came to England in 1968. Making good use of his qualifications as a hairdresser, Lorentz very quickly became a fixture on the London scene, becoming the personal coiffeur to such stars of the early 1970s as Mary Hopkin, Judy Geeson and Beryl Reid.

|
Baumers life changed dramatically, however, in 1974 with the revelation (first published in a News Of The World interview with Suzi Quattro) that most of his clients hated the hairstyles he developed for them, but loved the conversations and advice they could get from Lorentz while he worked. The hairdressing career bombed, but a new way of life started as a self help guru. Lorentz has never looked back.

His books "The Deep End" and "10 Steps To Wealth Health & Happiness" are international bestsellers, he tours the world giving lectures and running classes, and is currently setting up the Baumer Academy in California, as well as launching several Web-based self-help ventures with XPTs help.

Dr Baumer has been married seven times and has 19 step-children the only people whose hair he still cuts.
